Presentation by PIU representative at the Insurance Ombudsman’s conference
28 Feb 2012During the conference “Amendment to the Act on Mandatory Insurances, UFG and PBUK” organized by the Insurance Ombudsman and the Foundation for Insurance Education, Andrzej Maciążek, vice president of PIU, gave a presentation entitled “Does the imposition of further obligations on insurers actually works in favour of the insured?” The presentation aimed at demonstrating economic aspects of expanding insurers’ liability and adapting Polish law to the so-called pro-consumer trend.
A seminar on diagnostic methods
31 Jan 2012On 31 January 2012, a seminar entitled “The use of diagnostic methods in the risk assessment for insurance of machinery and equipment of small (unit) population” took place. The seminar was organised by the Division of Theoretical Transport Design at the Faculty of Transport, the Institute of Vehicles at the Faculty of Automotive and Construction Machinery Engineering, Warsaw University of Technology, and the Non-Life Insurance Committee at PIA.
