Mr Jan Grzegorz Prądzyński has become a PIU V-ce President, while the former Director of PIU Office has become a Member of Board. Chamber’s Supervisory Committee, on its own motion, received an extra time from the members of the organization , to present propose the candidature of a new President. The newly appointed Board has the full power to manage the most important self-governmental institution of the insurance sector.
For the first time in the history of the Chamber elections of the new Board have been carried out using a head-hunter company. The elected persons were then assessed by Supervisory Committee comprising 11 persons representing all segments of the insurance market. Supervisory Committee’s recommendations were then assessed and voted by all members of the Chamber. Voting was participated by 57 of 76 authorized delegates.
A novelty is the extension of the number of Board Members from one to three persons, i.e. President, v-ce President and a Board Member, whose only job will be to work for the PIU. It should improve the functioning of the Chamber, in which the Board comprising the persons from outside and holding its meetings once a month, had made all decisions. Presently, the Board is able to make key decisions every day, being assessed by Supervisory Committee.
- Organizational changes in the work of the Chamber and election of the new Board make the Polish Chamber of Insurance to the group pf modern insurance self-governmental organizations in Europe - said Ryszard Bociong, President of PIU Auditing Committee.
