Insurance education
Popularization of the insurance knowledge and education is one of the most important public functions of PIU. An important element of this role is the close and ongoing co-operation with renowned academic institutions. This cooperation takes place on several levels, including: substance industry conference preparation, "Insurance News" edition and organization of competitions for university exit papers.
One of the targeted groups particularly interested in insurance issues are students of economics. They are the natural recipients of information and knowledge about insurance. Many of them in the future may be interested in working in the insurance market, and today they are looking for a place where they could take part in internship.
That is why PIU together with major universities in Poland has taken steps towards insurance knowledge popularization.
The Insurance Knowledge Sharing Programme by the Polish Insurance Association and the Faculty of Economic Sciences at the University of Warsaw
The Polish Insurance Association (PIU), together with the Faculty of Economic Sciences, University of Warsaw (WNE UW), launched the Insurance Knowledge Sharing Programme. It is targeted both at the students and the academic staff of the faculty as well as the whole university.

The Polish Insurance Association (PIU) and the Department of Social Insurance of the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) organized a seminar on preventing insurance crime. It was held on 10th December in the main building of the SGH.
