Workshop on Solvency II
2 Dec 2009On 2 December, at the headquarters of Deloitte, (al. Jana Pawła II 19), a seminar entitled "Summary of legislative developments of Solvency II, Level 2 of the European Union legal requirements under Pillar 1, CEA Comments to the 2nd wave of CEIOPS consultation papers," will be held. It is organized by the Polish Insurance Association in cooperation with Deloitte.
Workshop on Solvency II
25 June 2009The workshops on Solvency II, organized by the Polish Association of Insurance, took place on Thursday, June 25 in Warsaw. They were directed to the staff of insurance companies as well as the Ministry of Finance and the Financial Supervision Authority. The workshops are a continuation of PIU actions to inform the insurance market about the progress of work on the Solvency II Directive.

Taxes in the Insurance Company
20 Nov 2008On Thursday 20/11/2008 at the Holiday Inn Hotel, tax workshop took place, organized by the Polish Insurance Association in cooperation with KPMG. The event is beginning to be cyclic, since the current formula was organized third year in a row. Under the term 'formula' we understand a way of conducting an interactive workshop, encouraging the participants to be active and to debate, relating to tax practice examples from real life. The seminar was targeted at executives (board members, directors of departments), representatives of the finance and accounting departments and people involved in the payment of tax liabilities. It attracted considerable interest, nearly one hundred people took part in it. The level of lectures has been highly rated by the listeners. The main issues discussed during the workshop related to current tax problems which may be encountered by insurance companies and administrative courts as well as changes in tax law, current and planned. The participants expressed hope for continuation of the Association meetings in the form of workshops next year. Agenda of the seminar and presentations are attached:
